Media says Norwegian wind money ends up in Caribbean

Earnings from wind farm Tellenes, among the largest in Norway, end up in the Cayman Islands, according to domestic broadcaster TV 2 Norge. The wind farm's owner, Blackrock, says it observes Norwegian legislation.

When the blades rotate on Norwegian wind turbines, a portion of the earnings end up paddling across the Atlantic into an offshore account in the Cayman Islands rather than Norway's treasury as taxes, writes domestic media TV 2 Norge, which has uncovered the corporate structure behind 160MW wind farm Tellenes in Rogaland, southwestern Norway.
