Vattenfall says capacity race won't end at 12 MW turbine

The Swedish utility was considering GE's equipment, but Siemens Gamesa wound up taking the order.

Tuesday, Siemens Gamesa revealed a new offshore wind turbine concept that tunes the latest 10 MW model to achieve an effect of 11 MW – models that have also won Vattenfall's nomination for deployment at its Dutch Hollandse Kust Zuid 1,2,3 & 4, all of which were won via zero-subsidy bids.
