Swedish forestry group plants Cypresses

Ordinary cypress trees don’t thrive in Scandinavia. In contrast to other conifers, most cypress species are not hardy enough and prefer warmer areas such as the Mediterranean region or California. However, forestry group Holmen has now found a field outside the northeastern Swedish town of Skellefteå, considered suitable for planting.
