Equinor injects another tidy sum into solar developer

The Norwegian oil giant expands its equity position in Scatec Solar, which has plans to more than double its installed capacity in the coming two years.

Solar and wind aren't exactly in equal favor with Equinor. Even though the Norwegian oil giant succeeded in breaking through as a powerful force within offshore wind in 2019, having secured major projects totaling several gigawatts, the company is still investing in solar energy.
