A capacity of 1,200 MW and the location being a place called Wide Bay might lead one to think of an offshore wind farm. However, not only is the project that's about to enter Australian federal state Queensland a land-based one – it will be so firmly rooted in the eastern part of the country that its up to 226 wind turbines of up to 295 meters will be placed in a forested area, as indicated by the project's name: Forest Wind.
