MHI Vestas selects Port of Rønne as hub for German offshore wind farm

The recently extended port on Denmark's Baltic island of Bornholm will serve as a preassembly and shipping hub for Germany's Arcadis Ost offshore wind development.

The Port of Rønne's big expansion has resulted in yet another project. Instead of alternative ports such as Rostock or Stetten, MHI Vestas has selected Bornhom's harbor for preassembly and shipping of wind turbines for the Arcadis Ost project in the German part of the Baltic Sea, the offshore wind OEM informs in a statement.
