Scotland considering sanctions against shady tenants

If bidders don't observe their obligations to use local suppliers, Scottish authorities consider the possibility of canceling their rights to the seabed.

On the residential market, a landlord can evict tenants if they don't observe the house rules. The same risk is now faced by project developers bidding in this spring's Scottish tender for offshore wind farm leasing areas if they don't meet their obligations to use local suppliers agreed upon in the Supply Chain Development Statement that's a prerequisite to enter the auction, Scottish authorities announce.
