Poorest year for Danish onshore wind since 2007

Only five commercial wind turbines were installed during 2019, which makes the year the poorest for Danish onshore wind since 2007. If both household and test turbines are included, domestic onshore wind capacity declined by 4 MW due to the decommissioning of a series of older units.

A measly five onshore wind turbines were erected on Danish soil during 2019, shows trade association Wind Denmark's account, based on the Danish Energy Agency's (DEA) latest statistics for the energy technology.
