Total plans bid for offshore wind farm Thor

The French oil and gas supermajor intends to increase its workforce within offshore wind and prepares to place a bid for project Thor in the Danish North Sea.

For the past many years, Danish offshore wind has been synonymous with utilities Vattenfall and Ørsted. But when the upcoming tender for offshore wind farm Thor begins next year, the duo may face at least one new, major challenger, as French oil company Total plans a construction bid for the North Sea wind farm with a planned combined capacity of up to 1,000 MW.
