CIP enters new offshore wind partnership

The Danish developer buys a majority position in a cooperation with a conglomerate aiming to open a new offshore wind market in Europe.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners cements its presence on the seven seas of offshore wind, spanning from the eastern and western coasts of the US to the waters of Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Australia – not to mention the North and Baltic seas.

The fund company has in no way run out of new areas to explore. Once again without much public display, CIP has entered a new floating wind endeavor in the Strait of Messina between Sicily and the Italian peninsula, with a further goal to expand to other areas in the Mediterranean region. Greek conglomerate Mytilneos reveals that has entered into a partnership with the Danish company to pursue project developments in the seas around Greece.
