In Brande, Western Denmark, an electrolyzer became the neighbor of a 3MW wind turbine of Siemens Gamesa's, a set-up which has now yielded its first green hydrogen, the company announces in a statement.

What's special about Siemens Gamesa's Brande pilot project is that it's been set up in a so-called "island mode", which entails the possibility of hydrogen production directly from the turbine and outside the power grid. The first hydrogen produced by the project has been delivered to partner Everfuel, which has forwarded it to its filling stations.
