Australian authorities speed up 10GW hydrogen project

A cutting-edge hydrogen development in Australia's outback has received an important approval, with commissioning set for 2023.

Australian's Northern Territory government has sent out a big thumbs up, allowing the planning phase to begin on the 10GW Desert Bloom green hydrogen project, entailing renewable-powered H2 production using moisture captured from ambient air.

The project, under development by Aqua Aerem, now carries an estimated establishment cost of USD 10.75bn.
