European Energy divests solar farms in record sale

The sale pertains to the largest solar farm in Italy and a smaller facility for a total capacity of 121.5MW. This marks European Energy's largest individual sale ever, which is valued at EUR 166.6m.

European Energy has carried out its largest divestment to date, fetching DKK 1.24bn (EUR 166.6m) in a transaction with Iren Energia.

The sale involves Palo Solar Park and Troia Solar Park, both located in the Puglia region near Foggia in Italy. For energy experts, the central figure will be Troia Solar Park's capacity of 103MW, while ordinary human beings are more likely to note the 1,500,000 m2, which corresponds to 200 football fields.
