"It’s more a question of whether we need a bigger order book"

A green momentum is underway in Europe and most of the world, and NKT eyes no problems in regards to filling up the order book. The question is rather how big the order book can actually be because orders also need to be delivered.

The first quarter of 2022 basically turned out exactly the way NKT wanted it. The cable manufacturer was able to present progress within most business segments, while global ambitions and visions for the green transformation have been dialed up.

Tuesday, for instance, it became public that Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium aim to build 150 GW offshore wind leading up to 2050. At the same time, the EU has accelerated green initiatives in an attempt to gain independence from Russian fossil fuels.
