Norway's onshore wind generation tax soon entering force

As of July 1, the country’s onshore wind farms will be subject to paying a production tax first aired in Norway’s 2021 state budget.

As soon as next week, Norwegian onshore wind operators will be liable to pay a special tax on electrical output as officially inscribed in the country’s 2022 state budget, the Norwegian Ministry of Finance reports in a statement.

The levy was, however, first mentioned by the preceding government back in May of 2021.
