Vestas has obtained an 216MW order from the US-based AES Corporation to complete the second phase of wind farm Chevelon Buttes in Arizona, the Danish OEM informs in a statement Wednesday evening CET.

48 model V150-4.5 units will be deployed at the project’s second and conclusive phase, with the deal also including a ten-year service agreement of the AOM 5000 variety.

While the wind farm’s first phase will expectedly achieve full operation in the second of quarter of next year, Vestas will start delivering turbines for the final section during the third quarter of 2023.

Vestas’ share price fell by 0.8% on Wednesday. Yesterday’s value slide notwithstanding, the manufacturer’s equity has remained nearly constant throughout 2022, with the year’s consolidated stock depreciation totaling a mere 0.2% across two trading days.
