Vestas books biggest ever onshore order on Brazilian soil
Vestas has reached a major milestone.
The Danish wind turbine maker has bagged a major 1,310MW onshore order in Brazil.
And that makes it Vestas’ biggest onshore deal ever. The agreement was signed off on by Casa dos Ventos and covers two projects: Serra do Tigre in Rio Grande do Norte and Babilônia Centro in Bahia, Vestas informs in a press release on Thursday.

The partnership with Casa dos Ventos demonstrates our shared commitment to making Brazil an example of renewable energy leadership for the entire region through high-impact projects such as Serra do Tigre and Babilônia Centro,” says Eduardo Ricotta, President of Vestas Latin America.
The turbine manufacturer is to deliver 168 V150-4.5MW turbines for Serra do Tigre and 123 turbines for V150-4.5MW for Babilônia Centro.
The delivery of the Serra do Tigre and Babilônia Centro is estimated to begin in the third quarter of 2024 and the commissioning is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025
