NKT chief executive resigns effective immediately
NKT’s German CEO, Alexander Kara, steps down from his position effective immediately.
Claes Westerlind will succeed him as new CEO, announces NKT on Tuesday morning.
Alexander Kara has chosen to vacate his position as chief executive officer on account of personal reasons, the company writes.
”I would like to thank Alexander for his commitment to NKT since he joined the company in 2019. He has successfully headed the transformation of the cables business since 2019, which has lifted the financial performance. The company is now in a strong position to grow with the green transition and electrification of societies,” says NKT chair Jens Due Olsen in a statement.
Since 2019, Claes Westerlind has held the position as Executive Vice President, Solutions Karlskrona, and been a member of the global leadership team in NKT.
NKT announces is first-quarter report on Wednesday May 10.
