NKT confirms turnkey power cable order for the offshore wind farm East Anglia Three. Its contract value exceeds EUR 250m as well as EUR 200m in standard metal prices.

This is apparent in NKT’s press release from Tuesday afternoon, which can be seen as a follow-up to the company notice from July 7, 2022, where NKT stated it had signed the contract valued at EUR 250-300m / EUR 190-225m in standard metal prices.

NKT has signed the finalized contract with project developer ScottishPower Renewables and the project is added to the company’s high power cable pipeline

The turnkey contract encompasses design, manufacturing, and installation of a 320kV high voltage cable system of direct current, consisting of 2x150km of sea cables and about 2x40km of land cables.

The contract does not change NKT’s financial guidance for 2023. Delivery is expected in 2025.

East Anglia Three wind farm will comprise 95 wind turbines installed 69km off the UK coast in the North Sea. The wind farm will cover an area of 305 square kilometers.
