Vestas enters conditional agreement surpassing 1 GW

The Danish turbine manufacturer looks set to supply more than 1 GW to a Northern European offshore wind project.

Vestas has entered into a conditional agreement to supply turbines for a Northern European offshore wind project of more than 1 gigawatt, GW.

The wind turbine manufacturer says in a statement.

”If and when the agreement becomes firm and unconditional, Vestas will disclose in accordance with the company’s policies,” it says.

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer does not reveal which project it is, but states that it is a project that will be built in two phases.

Vestas shares rose 0.8% to DKK 186.75 (EUR 25) on Thursday following the announcement. Prior to this, the share fell 1.0%.
