EDF sells wind farms in Texas

A deal between US Southern Power and French EDF means that both Vestas and Siemens turbines are changing ownership.

EDF will finish the project with a nice lump sum, while Southern Power, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, strengthens its green profile. This is the result of a large-scale wind farm deal which was completed on Dec. 23.

Southern Power is buying two offshore wind farms in Texas from EDF Renewable Energy, which has been responsible for the planning and development of the farms which have just gone into production.
