Danish supplier Bladt has received an order from Dong Energy to deliver 96 transition pieces (TP) for the world's largest offshore wind project, Hornsea One with 1.2 GW, informs Bladt in a statement.
However, Bladt was not formally the company which received the total order. Only 40 TPs will be manufactured at Bladt's factory in northeastern Denmark, while the remaining 56 will be produced by the English subsidiary Offshore Structures Britain (OSB). Like in most markets, the UK is home to requirements for locally produced content when companies decide to construct subsidized energy projects.
