Mitsubishi customer to build offshore wind farm in Japan

A major project is underway in southern Japan where the energy company Kyuden Mirai will head the installation of a new offshore wind farm.

A Japanese consortium led by utility Kyuden Mirai was won the right to erect an offshore wind farm in the southern part of the country after an auction, write several media.

The farm's size has not yet been ascertained more specifically than that it will contain 44 turbines. The price will come to approximately USD 1.5 billion (EUR 1.4 billion), according to reports.
