Vestas has hired a president for its future Asian venture. Australian Clive Turton has been recruited as the regional president of the newly established sales business unit SBU ASP, which covers eastern Asia, excluding China and Mongolia, announces Vestas in a statement.

The new position also includes the Indian market where Vestas hopes to gain a solid footing. Last year, the Danish turbine manufacturer re-established its physical presence in the growing market, which in recent years has been dominated by Gamesa and local manufacturers such as Suzlon and Inox.
