Executive management for Siemens Gamesa is slowly taking shape. At an initial meeting of the merged wind turbine manufacturer Tuesday night, the top leadership roles and chairman position were appointed. Meanwhile the company will formally operate under the name Gamesa until the new name – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy – will be elected at the the first annual meeting of shareholders in June.
As anticipated, Gamesa's CEO Ignacio Martín will lead the merged company. The Spanish executive will only serve in the top job for an interim period, however, before stepping down. A committee has been set up under the board, which will find the next CEO to the wind turbine manufacturer.
