"Chinese offshore wind could mean a breakthrough for Denmark"

China is reaching the conclusion that it needs help from Denmark to develop its offshore wind, says a Danish-Chinese business forum which anticipates an approaching official partnership. Danish wind companies are less optimistic.

Denmark will play a pivotal role in the impending development of offshore wind in China, according to Secretary General of trade organization Danish-Chinese Business Forum, Hans Henrik Pontoppidan. He says that Denmark is now able to gain greater access to the market, which will prove to be an entry ticket not only to the many GW expected to be installed along the Chinese coast, but also the wider Asia Pacific region (APAC).
