GE lands big order

The US turbine manufacturer will not only supply 120 of its huge turbines to Invenergy, but will also provide cyber security for the entire developer's fleet.

US giant GE is performing well on the order front. Earlier this month, the wind turbine manufacturer booked its largest Chinese order to date, which was followed by an order for 1.2 GW turbines from Spanish developer Forestalia Wednesday, marking Europe's largest individual order. Meanwhile, GE announced a further 300 MW order Wednesday from Invenergy, one of the largest project developers in the US.
