UK seen headed for subsidy free power from offshore wind farms

Wind turbines at sea used to be one of the most expensive forms of power generation, but now it seems that the UK might see aggressive bidding this year in the wake of rapid price declines across Europe.

Britain may soon join Germany in harvesting subsidy-free electricity from offshore wind farms, giving government ministers new options in securing power supplies that don't pollute.
