Fate of Scottish offshore wind could be decided by Supreme Court

Ornithologists now plan to appeal a case regarding 2.3 GW offshore wind to the Scottish Supreme Court, leaving continued uncertainty as to whether Scotland's wind development will soar or decline.

The future of Scottish offshore wind development is headed to the Scottish Supreme Court.

Barely one month ago, the court of appeals at the Scottish Court of Sessions rejected the objection from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), in which the association claimed that the planned development of offshore wind would have a damaging effect on the country's wildlife.
