Wind supplier "halfway satisfied" despite EUR 53 million loss

AH Industries, a Danish wind supplier to companies such as Vestas and Siemens, has plunged into a huge deficit due to a large impairment harking back to previous owners. Behind the loss, however, there is progress, says the CEO.

Danish company AH Industries delivered its worst year to date in 2016. Although the past seven years resulted in deficits, they have been minimal compared to the DKK 403.7 million loss (EUR 53 million) which the supplier presented in its recently published annual report.

The reason behind the huge deficit is a significant loss of goodwill. The company has impaired the value of goodwill to nearly a fourth from DKK 571.5 million to DKK 158.5 million.
