New estimates suggest a billion-dollar market for US offshore wind

In spite of slow beginnings and a skeptical president, the US will tender off at least 2.5 GW in offshore wind projects over coming years, determines analyst agency.

At the very least, 2.5 GW in offshore wind turbines will be installed in the US over the next nine years, concludes British analyst agency Westwood Global Energy Group in a new report.
