Nordex has signed what it describes as "two promising contracts." They concern delivery of a total of ten turbines at 36 MW capacity to the two wind farms Espiers and Guilleville, which will be constructed approximately 100 kilometres south of Paris.
The order comes from EDF's subsidiary focusing on renewables, EDF Energies Nouvelles. This is the first time that the German manufacturer has been selected by the French company, which is one of the largest players in Europe with approximately 8GW in operation and a further 1 GW under construction. The company also has plans to double its capacity ahead to 2030.
