Buffett signs repowering deal with GE

Hundreds of MidAmerican's wind turbines will be upgraded and the company has signed a deal with GE.

US utility MidAmerican Energy – owned by the Warren Buffett company Berkshire Hathaway – is ready to upgrade more of its older GE wind turbines.

Recently, MidAmerican was given permission to upgrade many of its old turbines in Iowa. The plan is to replace various components with newer and more efficient blades, which are also longer, this serves to extend the lifespan of the machines.
