Siemens scales down in the Port of Esbjerg

The turbine manufacturer has new production facilities across several places in Europe, which is one reason why Siemens is returning large areas in the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark. The company highlights that the move was prompted by "temporary fluctuations" in the offshore wind market.

The industrial port in Danish city Esbjerg will soon have more room. The port is home to several Danish wind turbine manufacturers, and the previously high activity for offshore wind projects in the North Sea has now lost some steam.
