US: Russian hackers accessed European and US power plants

Russia has been accused of poisoning an exiled Russian agent in the UK, and has long been suspected of manipulating elections in the US and Europe. Now it looks like Russia has also tried to disrupt the energy supply in both Europe and the US.

The extent of Russian hacker attacks against free, democratic societies in the western world could be far worse than previously assumed, reports New York Times, based on information from US authorities and private security firms.
