Statnett uncovers yet another subsupplier labor violation
The management of one of ABB's subsuppliers forced its employees to repay large portions of their wages. The case has been reported to the police, the Norwegian system operator announces – for the third time in two years.
For the third time in two years, Norwegian system operator Statnett has uncovered systematic labor violations perpetrated by one of its subsuppliers. In this instance, one of Swiss-Swedish industrial conglomerate ABB's suppliers coerced its employees with threats of sanctions to repay large portions of their wages paid for work on a project in Norway.
