Kamstrup and Siemens' consortium lands major Irish order

A consortium consisting of Danish smart meter manufacturer Kamstrup and Siemens has secured a leading position on the Irish electricity metering market.

Rolling out smart electricity meters in large sections of Europe is shaping up to be something of golden goose for the Danish company Kamstrup. The company, which has supplied most of the smart meters launched by domestic utilities, has now secured yet another large order on the European market – this time in Ireland.
