Statkraft joins major UK energy storage partnership

A 1 GW battery-based energy storage facility will ensure that Statkraft's UK wind and solar energy can be stored when generating surplus. Statera's gas-fired engines will generate power when renewable energy sources do not.

Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft has entered a collaboration with UK-based Statera Energy on a 1 GW energy storage facility.
