Statkraft appoints new senior VP

Former Vattenfall Danish Country Manager Ole Bigum Nielsen is hired to lead the implementation of the Norwegian utility's forthcoming major investments in renewable energy projects

Including hydroelectric, state-owned Norwegian utility Statkraft's existing 19.3 GW already makes it Europe's largest renewable power generator. The energy company has much more up its sleeve, however, and is now planning to invest around NOK 100 billion (EUR 10 billion) up to 2025.
