SSE selling transmission stake for over a billion sterling

The British utility means to expand its renewable energy portfolio by reinvesting proceeds from selling 25% interest in transmission subsidiary.

UK power company SSE has agreed to sell 25% of subsidiary SSEN Transmission for a price of GBP 1.465bn to a returning customer, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, the British utility informs in a statement.
