Ørsted issues green bonds totaling EUR 2bn

Danish utility Ørsted has issued green bonds to the tune of EUR 2bn, with the sale of unsecured green senior bonds across three different tranches, the company reports in a stock exchange listing.

First first tranche amounts to EUR 700m, with a fixed coupon rate of 3.25% until maturity in 2026. The second adds up to EUR 600m with a fixed coupon rate of 3.750% until maturity in 2030. The final tranche of EUR 700m comes with a fixed coupon rate of 4.125% until maturity on March 1, 2035.

The issuance is intended to finance to the utility’s global renewable energy expansion, and the company aims to reach nominal production capacity of 50GW in 2030.
