Dong report confirms oil and gas is on the way out

There is no doubt that the future Dong Energy will not focus on oil and gas. The impending 2016 financial report will present the oil and gas division as a discontinuing operation.

When Danish energy company Dong Energy emerges with its annual report for 2016, oil and gas will be dealt with rather differently than the other divisions.

Thursday afternoon, Dong announced that Oil & Gas will be presented as a discontinuing activity in the 2016 financial report, following Dong's prior announcement in the third quarterly report, where it revealed that the company had launched a process with the goal of ultimately divesting of Dong's oil and gas activities.
