European Energy is banking on PPAs

Up to a third of the Danish solar and wind developer's portfolio can be placed under PPAs within a year, says CEO.

Danish company European Energy plans on investing in many more Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) in the future.

"We have made some in England, and we are working on it across different places in Europe. It is certainly something that we are looking at. We see the electricity market split in two in the future. One area is tenders, which are known from offshore wind, and the other is the PPA market. And we are active in both markets. These are the two areas, that we see taking shape clearly in the future," says CEO Knud-Erik Andersen.
