Media: Buffett will bid USD 18 billion on utility

Berkshire Hathaway has set its sights on a Texan utility. However, the bid is far below a rejected offer last year.

The largest utility in Texas, Onco, could soon enter the portfolio of US business magnate Warren Buffett. Perhaps as early as this Friday, the billionaire's company Berkshire Hathaway will likely offer Energy Future Holdings USD 18 billion for the company, which is the seventh-largest in the US.
