Goldman Sachs has taken yet another step away from Dong Energy. With its third share divestment over the past half year, the US investment bank is bringing its ownership of the Danish utility down to 2.7 percent. This leaves it with a fifth of what the bank owned when Dong issued its annual report in February.
The sale comes from Goldman Sach's Luxembourg-based company New Investment Energy (NIE) which is the formal owner of Dong's shares. 7.5 million shares, 1.78 percent of the total stock, are up for sale, after which NIE will own 11.4 million shares. Wednesday, the shareholding was worth DKK 2.47 billion without calculation of possible discount.
