RWE enters competition for Norwegian offshore wind tender

Hitecvision gets yet another ticket in the race to develop offshore wind in Norway, where one of the private equity firm's subsidiaries forms a partnership with Norwegian and German utilities to bid for Utsira Nord.

Norway's first offshore wind tender is known for at least two things: It's attracting a massive number of suitors and creating more new bedfellows than a swinger club.

For instance, RWE already aired its plans last May to bid for the fixed-bottom area, Sørlige Nordsjø II, in a partnership with oil company Equinor. Now the same German utility announces its participation in the tender's second, floating section, Utsira Nord in a new consortium with NTE and Hitecvision subsidiary Havfram.
