Vestas chosen as supplier to Russian projects totalling 1 GW

The wind turbine manufacturer is planning to establish production facilities in Russia after being nominated by a state-owned Russian firm and a Finnish energy company to install wind turbines for 1 GW.

Vestas has been selected as a supplier for major expansion in Russia. Investment fund Fortum-Rusnano, which last week secured up to 1 GW in the recent Russian tender, announced that it has chosen the Danish wind turbine manufacturer as its supplier. The turbines will be installed over 2018-22.
