In spite of declining oil production, the oil pollution from Denmark's major transport and energy conglomerate Maersk Group is increasing in the North Sea.
Maersk discharged a total of 193 tons of oil into the Danish part of the North Sea last year. This is an increase of 69 percent since 2012, when Maersk discharged 114 tons of oil into the sea, according to a review of Maersk's environmental reports compiled by Danish media DR Nyheder.
