Shell enters South Korean floating offshore wind

The oil major signs a development agreement for a Swedish twin-turbine floating platform design planned to result in a 200 MW South Korean floating offshore wind farm as early as 2022.

Swedish firm Hexicon seems set for a smaller breakthrough for its floating offshore wind platform concept. In a joint venture with South Korean oil service company Coens, the platform's designer has now entered a joint development deal with Shell to install floating wind off the coast of the East Asian country, informs CoensHexicon in a statement.
