Nordex gets first order for 5 MW turbines

OX2 switches to a larger turbine platform at a Swedish wind project – without the turbine number or capacity seeing any noteworthy change.

Last March, German wind OEM Nordex entered the 5 MW class of wind turbines with an update of its model N149/4.0-4.5. Now, nine and a half months later, the platform sees its first order. Swedish developer OX2 and private equity Ardian are switching from the latter type to the new N149/5.X platform for wind farm Åndberg in the province of Jämtland, Nordex announces.
